Your Child is in Great Hands
Learning through Play... Through play and socialization with other children your child can experience and learn many things about themselves and the world around them. Playing together with others teaches a child to share as well as compromise. They learn that feeling happy, sad, angry or frustrated are normal, natural and okay. Their time in daycare will be a stepping stone for the rest of their experiences in school and in life. At California Kid Kare we concentrate on social and emotional skills as well as the educational basics which will get them ready for kindergarten. My goal is to teach your child to have confidence in themselves and be ready for the future.
It is my sincere desire to provide responsible, loving care for your child. It is not my purpose to displace you as their parent but, to make my care an extension of your family unit. You should feel confident that your child will be safe and happy with me. I want to work with you to help your youngster develop physically, emotionally and mentally.
Relationships are important. I believe the heart of quality child care are - Relationships! The importance of positive, loving relationships with children cannot be understated.
To thrive, children need to spend the majority of their waking hours with people they feel care about them - by setting boundaries, accepting them as individuals, and "Just having fun"! My desire is to give this balance, by being a friend to each child in my care while also guiding them to maturity by instilling self-discipline.
Health & Safety
I am certified in infant/child CPR and First Aid. I am mandated by state law to get recertified every 2 years. I have also taken courses on safety and health practices and how to identify diseases and how to avoid them. I abide by the federal food program guidelines and serve balanced meals. We keep sweets to a minimum, only for birthday celebrations, and even then there is always a healthy alternative offered.
California Kid Kare has a illness policy which is detailed in my contract. We wash our hands often during the day plus, the toys and sheets and blankets used for nap by the children are cleaned with antibacterial cleaner weekly. These measures help cut down on illness.
We practice fire and earthquake drills once a month. I have a written emergency plan for each child and keep emergency supplies up to date and ready for any emergence that may arrive.
Our playground and the toys on it are checked daily for any dangers and anything broken is discarded to keep the children safe and allow them the freedom to explore.
I have had courses in SIDS and Safe sleep practices for infants. I am also a Mandated Child Abuse Reporter and take training every 2 years and must complete a 4 hour course and testing to receive my Certification of Completion.
** During this time of Covid 19 we abide by all State licensing
requirements to keep your child safe and healthy.
